Kinesiology naturally encourages curiosity and exploration, and I get many questions. I believe in embracing those questions and answering them thoughtfully—unlike many allopathic doctors who may dismiss them and refer you to the next specialist. Your questions matter, and understanding is a vital part of your healing journey. Here are the most frequently answered questions:
Q: How will I feel after a Kinesiology session?
A: Many feel great right away, but some may feel tired, spaced out, or a bit "off" as their body adjusts. This is normal, especially when addressing long-term issues.
Q: I feel tired after my session. Is that normal?
A: Yes! Kinesiology shifts your body from "fight-or-flight" to "rest-and-digest," which can leave you feeling tired as you relax and recover.
Q: Are the supplements affecting me negatively?
A: It’s unlikely. Supplements are chosen by your body via muscle testing and tailored to your needs. Check with your GP about medication interactions. Temporary discomfort can be a positive sign of adjustment.
Q: Can I use a supplement I already have at home?
A: It’s best to use the one identified during your session. Your body is specific about what it needs, and similar supplements may not work the same way.
Q: I feel sick after my appointment. Is that normal?
A: This could be part of the detox process. Your body might mimic illness temporarily as it clears toxins, usually resolving within a few days.
Q: My skin issues seem worse after treatment. Why?
A: Skin can worsen temporarily during detox, especially if gut health or emotions are involved. Several sessions may be needed to clear it up.
Q: What is a "healing crisis"?
A: It’s when toxins release quickly, causing short-lived symptoms like fatigue or headaches — a sign that treatment is working.
Q: I’ve felt unwell for longer than a few days. Should I be concerned?
A: If you're feeling unwell for several days or between treatments, it’s likely not directly related to the therapy. Other factors—such as diet, stress, or an underlying illness—may be contributing.
Most people don’t seek help until their bodies are already in a state of severe compensation. As a form of self-protection, your body may resist further change. Since Kinesiology works to break through this resistance, it can sometimes feel uncomfortable. However, this discomfort is often a short-lived natural part of the healing process.
Q: Should I buy more supplements after I run out?
A: Wait until your next session. Supplements work on different layers, so continuing the same one long-term may not be necessary.
Q: Someone online said I shouldn’t take this supplement. Should I listen?
A: Online advice is generic and doesn’t know your unique needs. Muscle testing communicates with your nervous system to tailor recommendations. Trust what your body tells you.
Q: I haven’t noticed a difference from the supplements. Why?
A: Supplements work slowly at a cellular level for deep change, but it’s also common to notice immediate improvements as your body begins to rebalance.
Q: Since my last session I’ve felt like [insert issue]. Why don’t I feel better yet?
A: Healing with Kinesiology isn’t linear — ups and downs are normal as your body adjusts. Other issues can arise between sessions which show what needs attention next, part of your body’s natural rebalancing. Healing can take time - see this article for more info.
As a Kinesiologist, I know that any change between treatments is exactly what’s meant to happen because Kinesiology opens pathways for your body’s innate healing system to work. The Kinesiologist is NOT the healer — you are. Trust your body.
